Have You Found Your People?

If I asked you who are "your people", what would you say?

Friends? Family? Coworkers?

Who are you around when you feel like the most authentic version of you?

These are the people you feel at home with. When you say you want to go home, what you might be asking for is to be around your people.

Part of writing your story is feeling like you belong. You need to find "your people". Know who they are. Know what they mean to you. Your people are more important than you realize. When you are around your people, you become the fullest version of yourself. All walls and barriers are down. You feel a sense of happiness and contentment that is hard to find anywhere else.

Your people might change names, cities, and you will outgrow some over time. That is normal. your people will change, but what they represent in your life will stay the same. This is why you feel an instant connection when you meet a stranger that grew up in a city near you even though you now live across the country. They are your people. They know the same local restaurants and people you know. You have a common bond.

So how do you find them?

it is often a sense of rediscovery and intentionality. When you stop and think about it, you probably know who they are.

Find your people. Know who they are. Realize who you become when you are around them.
